Getting to White Rock Beach

Taking transit from Vancouver to White Rock is also relatively easy and often worth considering if you want to just sit back and relax rather than deal with traffic and parking around the beach area.

Once you are in the city of white rock, if you find yourself in upper White Rock’s downtown area you will find its quite a long walk down the hill to the beach and a tough walk up the hill upon your return, if you are not fit for the hike. The winding residential roads easy the journey.

White Rock Beach is a great family destination whether you live in the area or drive in from Vancouver which is only a 30 to 45 minute drive away. At low tide hundreds of meters of beach are exposed, almost to the end of the famous White Rock pier.

White Rock Beaches’ waterfront path and the White Rock Pier are great places to stretch your legs with a walk or a run if you are a little more athletic. White Rock’s annual Spirit Of The Sea festival is also centred around White Rock Beach.

Currently there is talk of the train stopping on it’s run from Seattle to Vancouver. The old train station is being rebuilt to receive passenger train guests. Most of the Restaurants that line Marine drive along the waterfront offer excellent ocean views and an upbeat, relaxed environment.
